A TOAST to you! Okay, it's not champagne - but it's sparkling white grape juice. Keep a lookout for why we might be toasting on a Tuesday Night (besides our weekly watching of The Biggest Loser). Oh, and Junior says hello. He also says he thinks he's really going to like hanging out with Mimi and Pop-pop, and Grandma and Grandpa. P.S. he's never seen one, but he thinks he might like trains and dirt... and worms (maybe).

The THREE of us were at the beach today in Kailua (Castle Rock). We're pretty sure Izze is going to like swimming at Newport Beach with his cousins. But we're also sure he's more of a 2nd Beach kind of guy and less like those 1st Beach babies up from New York, Massachusetts, and Connecticut; Izze is so 2011 like his Auntie Alana and Auntie Heather!

Many of you have asked about names for Junior. Well you can hold it right there! Although we will not divulge the name of the Baby, we do hear suggestions, and we will tell you the list of names that did not make the cut (thus far):
Barrack Obama Adams, Sam Adams Adams (Winter Lager of Course), Rice Crispies Adams, Flapjack NMN Adams, Adam Adams, (Advertise Here) Adams - for example: Gatorade Adams could be lucrative, Yao Ming Adams. I will tell you one of the top runners is the name of Erika's favorite pregnancy drink - IZZE. It's all natural fruit juice with a little bit of seltzer... and it's a cool name. All for now - I hope you know we're kidding.

Week 23: Tuesday January 23
Hello All,
Baby and mom are feeling good this morning, I only had to pee 2 times in the middle of the night which makes mom much happier than her usual 4 or 5 trips to the bathroom. Jr. is kicking more and more each day and loves to let mom know when he doesn't like something! All in all feeling good today. Will keep you posted on any new happening.
talk to you soon

My Mommy Plays Hockey
Many people have asked what sport Jr. will play when he gets older, jokingly, ice hockey or football. When you have a Mother who's an All-American Ice Hockey Goalie and a Father who's a Naval Academy Football Defensive Lineman, this can be a hard spot to find yourself in as a young tike. The best part about being 23 weeks away from day one of this boy's life is that he can be anything he wants to be. The thought of that is exciting. Baseball, Football, Ice Hockey, Drama, Art, Lawyering, selling tiddlywinks; whatever it is, it'll be fun watching him explore and grow. As I think back on my own upbringing, I can't help but be thankful for being afforded this same opportunity to grow and explore my own World by my very own accepting and understanding parents. And look at Erika - I wonder what her parents would have said 40 years ago if you told them one of their daughters was going to grow up and play professional ice hockey in Canada... yeah right! You can be whatever you like kid, as long as it's not a New York Yankee (Sorry Grammie and Catfish)!
23 Weeks and Counting
We could not be more excited about the coming birth of our very first child, a Boy! And so, in an attempt to tell the World, our Friends and Family, we've created this blogspot. We'll continually send updated stories, pictures, and health updates. Watch this space close - be sure to sign up for automatic alerts to receive the most up-to-date information. We love you all and can't wait to meet our new "Mr. Man".
